Carson, Washington Water Transmission Pipeline |
|
| |
Summary:
The town of Carson, Washington needed to increase its water supply because they were outgrowing their current source. They acquired a well three miles from town and needed to pipe it to the water treatment center. They chose AWWA approved 12" C909 class 150 water main.
The increased flow area and strength of the pipe was a factor in the decision. The pipe is three to six feet deep using crushed rock for bedding and haunching, and native material for backfill. The contractor liked the lighter weight and ease of handling.
